My Travel Journey: How It All Started & Everywhere It's Taken Me

Growing up, holidays were a rare treat in our family. My mum had a big fear of flying, so most of our getaways were ferry trips to Jersey or the odd cruise to Spain or France. But my dad? He always encouraged me to see the world. He used to say, “Explore before you take life too serious ” — and that stuck with me.

After losing my dad at the start of 2024, I needed something — a reset, a spark, a reason to feel excited again. I remembered the buzz of my first-ever flight in 2023 to Rome, so I booked a solo trip to Alicante. The flight was easy, the transfer quick, and the Meliá hotel I stayed in was perfectly located near the beach, shops and restaurants. It wasn’t just a trip — it was the escape I didn’t know I needed. Seeing all those destinations I’d spent years talking about at work finally come to life felt surreal.

Amsterdam Adventures

Next came Amsterdam — a quick ferry trip and a long weekend that completely stole my heart. The atmosphere, the food, the beauty of the city… everything felt magical. I loved it so much I went back again in May for the tulip festival. The first visit was spent at Inntel Hotels Amsterdam, and the second at the Leonardo. Both were great for different reasons, and it made me realise just how many amazing hotels in Amsterdam deserve more attention — especially those outside the city centre.

Majorca For The Summer

In summer 2024, we headed to Palma Nova in Majorca and stayed at Aluasun Torrenova. It was such a fun spot — beaches nearby, crazy golf, water parks, and the Magaluf nightlife just a short walk away. I’d go back in a heartbeat, maybe choosing a quieter area next time for more relaxation.

Big Girl Moves & Christmas In Barcelona

After that trip, travel took a pause while I hit a huge milestone: buying my first home at 23. Once I’d settled in, we celebrated with a festive break in Barcelona. We stayed at H10 Marina — amazing transport links, a beautiful spa (one of the best I’ve ever visited!) and the perfect base for exploring the city. A dramatic thunderstorm made the trip even more memorable.

We loved the city so much we returned once more — this time to explore even more of our favourite spots and discover new areas we missed the first time around. No matter how many times we visit, Amsterdam always feels like a city full of surprises.

Recent Travels & Highlights

Travel isn’t just about new places or hotel stays. For me, it’s connection, healing, excitement and experiencing life in ways my younger self never imagined. It’s carrying my dad’s words with me everywhere I go. It’s storytelling. It’s perspective. It’s freedom.

And through exploring all these places, I discovered what I’m genuinely passionate about — helping others experience that same magic by bringing destinations and hospitality brands to life through content.

This journey started as something personal, but it became the reason behind what I do today.
